From the 1997 Asian financial crisis to the 2008 financial meltdown, Carlos grew up in an ever-changing and constantly evolving economic era. He is fascinated by the fluidity of living standards as a result of economic turbulence, affecting everyone.
History tells us there were economic crises as early as 300 years ago, and as George Santayana once said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
Some say Economics is about choices, then why do people repeatedly make the wrong ones? He hopes to study Economics and its history to form a better understanding of these economic situations – and to make better choices.
